Though I'm driven by a sun-shiny day, every so often, it's nice to have a peaceful and quiet rainy morning. I think by now that I'm nearly 50 years old, I can finally accept the cloudy, rainy Mays and Junes associated with living by the Southern California coast. I love the fact that it makes staying inside and being lazy an okay thing to do. Lola loves the fact that she gets a cool morning walk while mist covers her head and back.
Here's a picture of my current constant companion (along with Lola of course); a bouquet of my very favorite flowers (along with roses), peonies. I watch for them to come in season and go on sale at Trader Joe's, and then I buy at least 2 bunches per week until they are back out of season. It's an extravagance I can't help but cave in to, and they make me so happy to be sitting amongst their glory, and delicate scent. The entire dining and living room are slyly perfumed with their gentle fragrance. I love them, and wanted to share them with you all. Especially Susan, because I know she loves these beautiful blossoms as much as I do. I must take another picture today. They grow more beautiful every day, colors change, blossoms getting about as big as a small child's head, amazing.
Sitting with a cup of crack tea, thinking of you girls, happy because I found out that my purses will definitely be published in Haute Handbags, and ready to start working on some summer birdy pillows... life seems just fine to me right now. Hope you have a calm and serene day too. :o)
