However I settled into a freshly reconditioned leather couch and admired all the new touches in Susan's beautiful home. There were re-upholstered chairs complimenting the carpet and freshly painted alcove and fireplace. It was very welcoming
I never cease to be amazed by the connection, love and support, fun, creativity and wisdom of this group. So much news to be shared. I guess there will be beads at the Grove and I think that will be perfect. Can't wait to spend some time organizing the plan. And I'm thrilled that I can do it with Judy!
Val arrived with some freshly painted paintings and I fell in love with this one, so did someone else, but in time I'm sure I'll find a Val painting to own.
Gail finished her cuff and it was quite sparkly.

Jake made a superb brunch
And Val took a little respite from her busyness to be with us. She looks fab as always. So dang cute, 'dang' always makes me think of Val.
I admired Susan's stained glass arched windows
And Scout posed....and tried to look invisible at the same time
Judi Patuti is off wandering in Chicago so we'll catch up next time.
It was a lovely day. Just went by way to fast. Thanks Susan for a wonderful breakfast lunch. I am very excited about the coming changes at The Grove even though I am just a back seat driver. I just can't wait to see it all come together. There is an awful lot of energy between the five of us. Now we just need to channel it into making our world a better place!

That's why we need Julian, for a big ol' catch up session. Soon we'll have to make an agenda and take minutes. Lord knows, Gail's got Susan taking notes... Ordered all the fabric and patterns today...should be coming in a few weeks. Got a little carried away, so may need a few more fixtures or will need to get creative! Gail...Help!
Susan and I were in the news - from the textile show we went to. Once I get home I'll see if I can post it!
Going to dinner and then tomorrow the Magnificent Mile and Millineum Park! Did the Merchandise Mart and the Apparel Mart sample sales today. Pictures to come!

I was in The Grove yesterday scoping out the new spot with a fresh eye. Funny, I only got interested in the fabrics when Judi made our chair covers. I never even noticed the Amy Butler patterns. They were surrounded with all this drab looking stuff hanging from that unattractive rack. And shopper that I am I never even took a look. Oh Judi, you are so right, the presentation means so much. Can't wait to see what you come up with and of course I want to help. I can really start to visualize the opened up space beautifully arranged with all the colorful fabrics and the wall of beads drawing you in. We must have a meet up as soon as possible. How about next Tuesday morning?
