Judi's story....

The Grove is so close to my house, my shopping gene kicked when it opened and I immediately checked it out. What a delight! I was attracted to the novelty yarns and decided to experiment with them. I kept coming back over and over and buying onesies and twosies, when Susan asked what I was doing with them. Trying to explain my multi-yarn, multi-colored throws was challenging, so I just brought one in. From there out she continuously asked me to teach it. Not really knowing how to knit, I felt a little insecure...but I finally agreed and there started the beginning of a wonderful relationship. When Gail and Val and Susan and I took the felted purse class (taught by Marcia), I knew this was the place to connect with talented, creative women. And (as they say) the rest is history. We've been energized by each others talents, enjoyed each others wonderfully different personalities and oohed and awed to each others completed masterpieces, whether knitted, beaded or felted! The Julian retreat was the first retreat I've been on that wasn't work related! What a joy!To be surrounded by nurturing, funny and loving women - who now drop by the Grove, meet for lunch at C-level, meet for knitting, beading, sharing, supporting and just plain fun! And the journey has just begun....
